At 9:10 Publishing our aim is to:
- Educate – develop knowledge in areas that may be new or unfamiliar to our readers
- Inspire – enable our readers to see the wealth of possibilities that are open to them
- Inform – build awareness and understanding of issues that impact our readers
9:10 Publishing was established in 2014 by Amanda Wilson after she observed a lack of books aimed at black British young people written from a black British perspective.
Rather than rely on traditional publishing houses to take up her ideas, she looked into what was required to build a successful imprint and then went about setting up her own.
To date there have been three books published under the 9:10 Publishing imprint: Letters to a Young Generation 1 and 2 and Amanda’s first novel, Karaoke, Praise the Lord.
